Georgina Murray's latest works stem from capturing the essence of her surroundings, memories, thoughts and feelings through the use of a model chair. Heavily narrative based, the images convey the suffering and joys of ‘being’. Primarily using acrylic paint, Murray's use of colour, tone and perspective creates imagined realities that mimic everyday human activity and shared experiences. Relatable but humorous, the viewer is invited to enjoy the disturbed and upsetting whilst taking pleasure in the beauty of expression.
